In late November the students from grade 8 went for an excursion to Barpak Village that was the epicenter of the massive earthquake in 2015. It was the earthquake that demolished our old school buildings. It was an educational tour which also included a picnic for the students.
These days the students are taking their exams. They are tested on a multitude of subjects and must now wait for their results. In their free time the students take part in extra curricular activities such as debate, song and dance contests.
Every morning all the students gather in the yard. This is both for logistics but also so the different grades can mingle and socialize: It also includes morning song and exercise which is good for the body and spirit.
In order to ease the students’ transition from kindergarten to first class, we have been asked by the local government to add an additional class between the kindergarten and the first grade. We are happy to let you know that the school’s wifi-connection has been established, and that the school have received a donation of 4 laptops.
