Update 8th of June:
There are still aftershocks but fewer and smaller. In Phujel we have build
temporary class rooms out of tin. That means that the school will be able
to make it through the monsoon. Thank you for all donations and support!
Update 22nd of May:
The status after the two major earthquakes is that there are still multiple aftershocks
everyday, mostly between 4 and 5 on the Richter Scale. This makes reconstruction
of houses very difficult and means that now none of our classrooms are unaffected.
Thank you to all that has already donated and helped spread the word. Phujel is in

Update from 13th of may:
On April the 25th, a massive earthquake shocked Nepal. The epicenter was between Kathmandu and
Pokhara, and therefore less than 50 kilometers from Phujel. Luckily, the event was on a Saturday
midday, so the school was closed for the weekend, and all the families were in the fields. Therefore,
there has only been one death in lower Puhjel. However, the families in the village are extremely
poor. Their houses, which were mostly made of mud and stones, are now completely demolished.
The school itself has lost 9 rooms, but the water source and toilets are intact. Aid workers have brought
food and tents to the village. The raining season is quickly approaching, and therefore Phujel is in
desperate need of beginning reconstruction. With the heavy rain, the tents will not last for long, and the
water will spoil many food supplies. We wish to help both the school and villagers through this troubling
time, please make a contribution at our account in Sydbank:
